Latin America. For 35 years, the company Justice AV Solutions, JAVS, has specialized in audiovisual solutions for courtrooms, both as developers, manufacturers, designers, installers and we offer service and maintenance of their solutions. That is, they control the entire process.
In 2018, the company, which already has a presence in Europe, Africa, and North America, including Mexico, added Ingrid Martínez to its team, with the mission of expanding JAVS' presence in the Latin American market. To that end, they are looking for distributors.
In conversation with AVI LATINOAMÉRICA, Ingrid Martínez stressed that the intention is to reach markets such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil and Chile initially, for which they are looking for distributors in each of these countries. The fundamental requirement of stakeholders is that they have extensive experience in solutions for the justice sector, because this is the specialty of JAVS.
"Our market is for audio and video solutions for cuts. They are found in more than 10,000 outages in the U.S. and the rest of the world. The market that has cost JAVS the most to enter is Latin America due to the language barrier. That's where I come in. I was hired last July to develop this market. I have more than 13 years of international sales experience," he said.
The company has just launched the solution in high resolution, with image quality and video features that are similar to the quality of a TV image; since to design this solution they have used components and algorithms from the broadcasting industry. One of the features that differentiates this solution from other solutions on the market is video switching.
This technology has an algorithm in which the cameras are connected to the microphones in a way that when a person speaks the video switching is done automatically. This is the equivalent of having a large team of technicians behind the solution. However, recording can be started each day in court by simply tapping the record button. In some courts in the US, the same judges operate this technology. This is the most sophisticated and fixed solution. But they also have simpler solutions that are portable.
What we need to find are AV companies that specialize in this market. And that they have the connections in the courts so that they can present our solutions. I don't think a distributor in this case will work at least for the HD solution. And we are looking for opportunities in all countries of Latin America and Spain with the exception of Mexico where we already have an exclusive distributor.
