Cedia will have an education day in Bogotá

Colombia. On February 18, Cedia and Home Tech will have the first training session of the year in Colombia with the courses Audio Technologies for Technicians and IP for technicians. 

Audio Technologies for Technicians
Discover the basics of sound and how it is recorded, shared and distributed in analog and digital formats. You will learn about speakers, acoustics, distributed audio and other miscellaneous components. These concepts prepare you for more advanced training in home theaters, distributed audio, and media storage.

IP for technicians
It is suitable for both beginners and people who are looking to formalize and increase their knowledge base on IP networks. Now that the vast majority of subsystems have the ability to converge on an IP network, this is undoubtedly a very important issue that must be mastered. At the end of this course, participants should be able to discuss the advantages and importance of growing IP networks; explain the most common network protocols such as TCP, UDP, IP, DHCP, DNS, and NAT; select, install and configure consumer routers for wired environments Create and implement IP addressing schemes for network devices connected computers, AV, lighting control, etc.); and create system documentation for IP networks.

In charge of these courses will be:
Lina María Villa, electronic engineer with a master's degree in sound and music technologies. Since 2013 he has worked in the audiovisual and automation systems industry. Experience as a professor at the university, teaching courses in electronic engineering and sound engineering. Since 2013 he teaches training for audio and video systems and certifications for automation systems. He currently works as a Project Manager in a company in Colombia. Certifications of CEDIA - ECS (Electronic systems certified) and COI (CEDIA Outreach Instructor).

Mateo Restrepo, Electronic Engineer from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana headquarters Medellín. Diplomas in programmable controllers, business and international relations, university teaching with emphasis on pedagogical skills and fluidic technology. Experience in projects of different programming languages (C, C++, VHDL, Labview, Visual Basic, Matlab, LOGO). More than 5 years of experience as Director of work teams in the technical area of companies dedicated to the development of technologies focused on home automation and IoT. Control4 Certification instructor. He currently serves as Technical Manager of the distributor of the most important brand in the market in automation.
