DAS Audio will manufacture its products in Miami

Latin America. With an investment of close to US$2 million, the Spanish company DAS Audio is expanding its headquarters in Miami with the aim of starting to assemble its equipment and subsequently manufacture what is marketed in America to be a 100% American product. The first product that will be assembled will be the Altea series, then they will continue to add series that are in high demand. 

Jaime Villegas, General Manager Das Audio for the American market, told AVI LATINOAMÉRICA that the operation of this production plant should begin in late 2018 or early 2019 and the company's intention is to strengthen the office, give greater speed to deliver product, take advantage of the market agreements of the United States with other countries and grow in the local market. 

Regarding the presence in Latin America, the DAS Audio executive stressed that the company has always been strong in the region, but in the last two years that presence has been strengthened, with the opening of an office in Brazil for the attention of the local market and with the growth of the team that serves the rest of the region from the office in Miami.

At the beginning of the year they hired a new specialist for Latin America, dividing the market into two segments, professional and retail. Today they went from one to four professionals who serve the region:

Gonzalo Aguirre, is in charge of the largest accounts
Cristopher González, Application Engineer

He also stressed that Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia and Brazil are the strongest countries, especially with Pro products. With the incorporation of Leandro Arguello, sales of products at the store level have grown. 

Finally, Jaime Villegas commented that today they have installation lines that are growing in the United States market and want to take them to Latin America. They will bet on developing new products for facilities and plan a specialist for Latam who will join the team next year.
