ISE will move to Barcelona in 2021

International. Integrated Systems Europe has announced that its 2021 edition will be held in Gran Vía, part of the Fira de Barcelona exhibition complex in Spain, from 2 to 5 February. The new venue will become the permanent headquarters for the world's largest AV integration and systems integration program.

The decision to move the ISE exhibition comes after 18 months of research into the feasibility of staying at RAI Amsterdam. With ANNUAL GROWTH of ISE exhibitors and attendees approaching 10%, and the international AV market forecasting 5% annual growth through 2021, it was concluded that ISE was outperforming its popular location in Amsterdam.

ISE 2018 attracted 80,923 attendees, of which 22,000 visited the program for the first time, while 1,296 exhibitors filled 53,000 net square meters of space in 15 halls. ISE 2019 is expected to increase by these record figures.

Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events, commented: "Rai and Amsterdam have provided a fantastic location, have been excellent partners and have contributed to the success of the show. However, the demand from exhibitors and the continuous increase in the number of attendees, showed us that the limited space on the floor was in danger of slowing down the development of the program. Despite all our best efforts, this was not a problem we thought could be solved by staying at RAI Amsterdam."

He added that "We carried out extensive research of exhibitors and attendees and visited many major exhibition centres in Europe before making this important decision. By announcing our move to one of the largest and most prestigious convention complexes in Europe, we can now continue to focus on creating a unique experience for everyone and confidently plan for long-term development. At the same time, we will ensure that the remaining two editions of ISE at RAI Amsterdam are the best in their illustrious history and a fitting way to end our 14-year relationship with the place and the city."

The Fira de Barcelona is one of the most prestigious convention and conference venues in Europe. The complex has two exhibition halls and hosts 140 international trade shows each year, with more than 30,000 exhibitors and attracting more than two million attendees. In total it has more than 400,000 square meters of surface and 14 rooms.

Gran Vía is one of the largest and most modern exhibition halls in Europe. It combines outstanding architecture with exceptional functionality in 8 rooms and 200,000 square meters of exhibition space. It also offers an unparalleled flow of visitors and state-of-the-art services and logistics. It is conveniently located for access to the nearby international airport and public transportation.
