TMI Brazil presents main trends in automation

Brazil. The era of connected things has provided great advances for the residential automation sector, with the arrival of increasingly practical and innovative products and solutions. The main novelties of this area will be presented during the TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Brasil 2018, an event focused on the audio, video, lighting, automation and integrated professional systems market that takes place in May, in São Paulo.

By bringing benefits and adding value to residential projects, automation has established itself in the market. According to the Sebrae Sector Intelligence report, released by the Brazilian Association of Residential Automation, Aureside, a partner of TecnoMultimedia, the global market should reach 58.68 million dollars in sales by 2020 and currently has a potential of more than 1.5 million residences that can use the technology.

Antonio Caramico, Managing Director of Biltech, importer and distributor of high-tech products, reinforces that the market is developing on the right track, with various product options and with more accessible costs for consumers.

"The installation of automation products has become simpler, mainly with radio frequency communication technologies. These systems do not require specific infrastructure, which provides installation in new ventures or retrofit," he explained. Biltech, for example, will exhibit a central suction system at TecnoMultimídia InfoComm Brasil 2018.

The executive also emphasizes that products increasingly integrate various functions, making them more practical. "In the automation equipment market there are integrated products that in addition to offering traditional lighting control, have several additional functionalities such as measurement of energy consumption, weather conditions, some form of communication between the areas of entrepreneurship, integration with the agenda and commitments and the important issue of safety," said Caramico.

Technologies such as integrated access controls, climate control, sound and lighting are still strong in that market, but can now be controlled by wereables, which will allow for even greater customization. Another novelty that should gain space in homes are voice assistants, such as the Echo, which uses Alexa, from Amazon. Although they are in an early stage of development, many of these devices are already used to control the functions of the house more intelligently.

According to the QuISI study, from the IDC, a good part of Brazilians have already understood that having a smart device can be something accessible, being that 16.3% of the people interviewed plan to have a smart device at home between 12 to 24 months.

"The residential automation market in 2018 tends to seek great growth due to the advancement of technology, reduction of values and dissemination of the automation culture, reaching a larger audience," explained Jonathan Haubert, head of the marketing area of Exatron, a company focused on products and services for electrical installation systems, property automation and residential, that will exhibit its automation line at TecnoMultimedia InfoComm 2018.

"Technological advances, mainly with the Internet of Things, are making the implementation and administration of automation systems less and less complicated, attracting the attention of many consumers to products that until now are considered inaccessible. At TecnoMultimedia InfoComm, we have the opportunity to show visitors how simple and accessible it can be to install a modern and functional system," said Víctor Alarcón, project manager of the fair.

In addition to presenting the novelties, TecnoMultemídia InfoComm this year receives the 16th edition of the Habitar Congress, promoted by Aureside, which brings together an expressive number of professionals and congressmen of the market for presentations and debates of a technical and conceptual nature on the main aspects of residential and property automation of the moment.

TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Brasil 2018 will be held between May 22 and 24 at the São Paulo Expo (Immigrant Exhibition Center). More information visit http://www.tecnomultimidia.com.br
