Demco adds Datapath to its portfolio in Chile

Chile. The Company Datapath continues to strengthen its growth in Latin America with the help of the most important distributors in each country. This time it has named Demco Ltda as the distributor in Chile.

Demco, a family-owned Chilean distributor established in 1983, has performed excellently over the past three years, recording annual sales growth of up to 37%. Serving many markets, it will use Datapath's products to complement its existing portfolio of LED displays, professional monitors, access points and tablets.

"As the exclusive distributor of Samsung monitors in Chile, we see an opportunity to meet the growing demands of AV integrators for related products," explained Sergio Misleh, General Manager of Demco. "Our goal is to offer a wider range of products and solutions to our partners so they can grow their own businesses. The Datapath brand is prestigious and well-known among our customers. We are very happy to cooperate with a company of the stature of Datapath."

There are many rapidly expanding markets in Chile, which the World Bank classifies as a high-income economy and considered one of the most stable and prosperous nations in South America.

"Digital signage is one of the best performing sectors in Chile, where there is a very mature market of retailers who have spent a lot to improve their stores and differentiate them from their competitors," Misleh said. "The hospitality sector has also grown a lot in recent years. A large number of hotels have been being built, while existing ones have felt the need to renovate. Control rooms are another expanding market due to the need for greater security."

Demco expects Datapath products to perform well in the Chilean market, particularly the state-of-the-art Fx4 video wall controller, the iolite 600 compact video controller, WallControl 10 software, and Quant application sharing software. All these products are available for demonstration in the showroom of Santiago de Demco.

Misleh concluded: "Our business is growing very fast: in total, we have seen a 50% growth in sales over the past four years, which can be explained by customers who appreciate the added value we bring. This offers them business flexibility through access to lines of credit, in-stock products and local technical support, for example. The products Datapath offers are a perfect fit for our strategy of providing more and more solutions to our growing customer base."
