Cedia will take its training programs to Colombia

Colombia. Cedia announced that it will bring the training programs to Colombia in 2018. This will be thanks to the help of the Colombian company Hometech El Hogar Digital S.A.S. Starting in February 2018, Hometech will host Cedia's trainings alternating in its offices and training centers in Medellín and Bogotá. The courses will be in Spanish and will cover the core curriculum, such as audio technology for technicians and HDMI troubleshooting.

"We are very excited to work with Hometech El Hogar to provide more training programs to residential technology professionals in Colombia. We recently saw a high demand for Cedia education at the TecnoMultimedia show and are excited to continue that momentum by making it easier for companies to access our education programs regularly through our partnership with Hometech El Hogar," said Wendy Griffiths, Cedia's Vice President of Global Development.

Some courses will be taught by Lina María Villa, an electronics engineer with a master's degree in sound and music technology. Lina María has worked in the AV industry and in the residential automation area since 2013, training in home automation certifications and working for Hometech as its technical manager.

In 2012, he began teaching university courses in sound engineering and electronic engineering. Lina María is certified by Cedia in Electronic Systems (ESC) and as an instructor Cedia (COI). The Hometech team also has professional instructors with experience in the audiovisual industry, who will teach some of these courses during the year.
