Cedia started construction of its new headquarters

International. Fishers Ind will be cedia's new world headquarters, which began construction this week with a formal ceremony by the association's executives, Fishers Ind Mayor Scott Fadness, and representatives of architecture firms American Structurepoint and Mayer Najem.

"We are incredibly excited about this next chapter for Cedia. The new global headquarters will be a wonderful facility for staff and members that truly represents the best our industry has to offer," said Dennis Erskine, President of Cedia.

Cedia's new headquarters, which was announced in June, will have 40,000 square feet on three floors and is expected to cost $13.7 million. Cedia plans to occupy 30,000 square feet, which will include staff office space, as well as first-class training facilities and an experience center. Ten thousand square feet will be available to tenants.

"Cedia staff and volunteers have worked hard with the American Structurepoint and Mayer Najem teams on all aspects of planning our new building and we are very excited to begin construction," said Tabatha O'Connor, Cedia's interim president and CEO. .

Cedia's new headquarters will be built on land at 106th Street and Kincaid Avenue in Fishers Ind. Fishers has become a popular area for tech-focused businesses to put down roots, and has been named one of the best places to live by Money Magazine (2017), Time (2016) and Niche (2017) and was honored as Indiana's 2016 Community of the Year.

The current construction schedule estimates that the association will be able to occupy the space in November 2018. Since 2003, Cedia has leased a space on the northwest side of Indianapolis at 71st Street and Georgetown. The organization will remain in this place until the new headquarters is ready to be occupied.
