Footprint Latin America grows in Latam with new brands

Latin America. Taking advantage of his experience representing European AV manufacturers for the Latin American market, Simon Talloen decided a couple of years ago to settle in Medellin, Colombia, and open his company.

Footprint is dedicated to supporting manufacturers looking to open markets in Latin America, to make themselves known in the region and establish relationships with distributors and integrators.

Simon Talloen explained to AVI LATINOAMÉRICA that Footprint will not compete with distributors or sell directly to integrators, what it seeks is to represent manufacturers before distributors in the region, helping to strengthen a closer relationship, providing commercial and technical support in their language and giving added value to brands.

Footprint's company model is what is known in the United States as a manufacturer representative firm. It is a very uncommon structure in Latin America and, therefore, Footprint fills the gap for different brands seeking professional commercial and technical representation in this region.

Six months ago the company opened a show room and training center in Medellín, where you can find the technologies of the six brands it currently represents: wePresent, Televic Conference, Datapath, Vogel's Professional, Arthur Holm and Apart Audio.

Of these brands, some are new in Latin America and others that are already there but have considerable growth potential. On a new offer of AV brands for the region, Simon Talloen stressed that the six manufacturers he currently represents stand out for high quality products, have extensive experience in Europe and Asia and will allow to boost the market with new options with technical support and competitive price.

Finally, the CEO of Footprint stressed that he chose Medellín because Colombia is experiencing an important moment in the development of the industry and from the City has easy connectivity to the entire region. He added that today they are already working with distributors in Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Colombia and plan to reach other countries.
