Epson receives awards from its distributors

Mexico. The epson company was recognized in various segments in the survey "Los Preferidos del Canal", organized every year by the magazine specialized in technology Infochannel. With four awards for its products, the company ranked as the most accepted brand in the channel for the printing and projection sectors.

Epson repeated the first place for its thermal and dot matrix printers, as well as in the category of video projectors, in addition to its printers. This recognition was the result of a survey applied to one thousand twenty-one distributors from different parts of the Mexican geography. 

"Los Preferidos del Canal" is one of the most relevant studies within the information technology sector in Mexico, its prestige lies in the scope of its brand perception surveys that are carried out over four months to representatives of the distribution channels. This year the demoscopic exercise was carried out between the fourth of January and the fifth of April, dividend the information in the categories of Printing, Computers, Connectivity, Software, Peripherals, Components, Energy and Accessories.

The survey, presented on the sixth of July during a technology forum organized by the local media, reflected a fairly broad panorama of this industry in the national market. In addition to showing the acceptance of Epson's brand and products, it also left a record of the extensive margin with which the company dominates the different segments for which it develops technology and solutions.

In terms of video projectors, the brand consolidated its presence in the market, being recommended by 38.2% of the sellers surveyed, plus ten points of advantage over its competitors.

As it had been recording in previous years, and according to the same data of the Infochannel methodology, Epson has gained ground in the inkjet sector, which has maintained a steady increase for the company since 2014. Within this competitive category, special mention was made of the EcoTank ink tank system, with which the brand has revolutionized the market.

To carry out this survey, the national geography was divided into six strategic areas: Central, North, West Central, Pacific, South-East and Valley of Mexico. Being the main question "Who do you prefer in...?" to identify the brands of hardware and software manufacturers that distributors have in mind or are of their trust. 

"Thank you very much to the channel for its preference, this motivates us a lot and commits us. At Epson we are one hundred percent with the channel," said Emilio Murillo, Channel Sales Director of Epson Mexico, who received the award from Marco Maytorena, General Director of Infochannel. "These types of recognitions are a success shared by all of us who strive to further accentuate Epson's leadership in Mexico each year," he added.
