Powersoft held regional meeting of distributors

Latin America. This year, Powersoft organized a special meeting for Latin American distributors, bringing all of them together for two days at the facilities of Universal Music - Powersoft's distributor in the Caribbean, Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil - in Miami, Florida.

The opportunity was propitious not only to share experiences and results obtained in each Latin country, but also to acquire training and information on business techniques, sales, education, marketing, new products and internal data on the structure of the company in Italy, such as the inauguration of a new assembly line for the X Series and Quattrocanali models at Scandicci, Florence.

This presentation was attended by several key figures within the Powersoft structure, such as Luca Giorgi, director of sales and business development; Fabrizio Romano Bolzoni, sales director of rack amplifiers; Klaus Dalbjorn, Product Manager; Francesco Fanicchi, Director of Brand and Communications; Marc Kocks, facilities business development manager; Kurt Metzler, U.S. & Canadian Sales Director; Gino Pellicano, US & Canada system engineer, and Gilberto Morejón, sales manager for Latin America and the Caribbean.

On the part of the distributors, Jean Costa and Rafael Guzmán of Universal Music, Javier Posada of Audio Acoustics and Electronics, Josué Cilea and Guillermo Falla of SuperSonidos, Ernesto Vallejo and David Navarrete of Vallparr Importaciones, Paulo Aguilar of Sonotec, Carlos and Verónica Lantadilla of CyVmusic, Alan Wood of AW Acoustic Design and Carlos Maiocchi of Equaphon participated.

"The encounter went far beyond what was expected. We have total interaction and communication, a lot of participation and exchange of ideas," said Gilberto.

Fabricio agreed: "It was a very positive meeting. The reason we decided to make a more closed meeting instead of a global one was to have a more homogeneous audience, sharing opportunities and common problems at the regional level. At a strategic level, it is right to think globally, but we cannot forget to think locally, and especially to listen to our own needs that vary from region to region."

During the meeting, the award for Best Distributor of 2016 was also presented, which this time went to the company SuperSonidos - Powersoft's representative in Guatemala and  Nicaragua -, being the distributor with the highest percentage of sales and expansion of territory throughout last year.

At the end of the event, everyone present went to Orlando to participate in the InfoComm fair. Activities in the region will continue this year with seminars in Chile (Santiago and Viña del Mar) in September, followed by Brazil and Argentina in October.
