Avid supported the Latin American Conference AES Cuba

Latin America. Avid co-sponsored the Audio Engineering Society in the realization of the Latin American Conference AES Cuba 2017 that took place at the Cuban Art Factory, in Havana, Cuba, as a final part of the third edition of the multifaceted EVENT AM-PM "America for its music."

Between June 12 and 15, AM-PM began with a Music Producer Training Workshop taught by the Department of Music Engineering and Production at Berklee College of Music, at ABDALA Studios.

Then there was a professional meeting of producers that was held on the 15th and 16th with the participation of renowned producers from Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Panama, Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Uruguay.

Finally, the Latin American Conference AES Cuba 2017 was held on 17 and 1 8 around the theme of sound engineering, with distinguished speakers such as: Ian Corbett from the United States, Valeria Palomino from Mexico, Tweety González from Argentina, Marcela Zorro from Colombia, Oscar Barrientos from Mexico, Javier Longhi from Uruguay and Andrés Mayo from Argentina.

"This is the first international event that the Audio Engineering Society has organized in Cuba. The exuberant pulse of the island was an excellent sonic background for this emblematic event," said Andrés Mayo, one of the organizers of the AES Cuba Conference.

Along with the news of the AES event, Avid celebrated the recent sale of the first S6L for Cuba. OKeventos, a leader in audio rental and event production company, founded by Mauricio Blanco in 1995, acquired a VENUE | S6L with  processing capacity of 192 channels, HDX card for effects processing, dynamic and a Stage 64 stage rack (with 64 input channels by 32 output).

"What motivated us the most to acquire VENUE | S6L was the demand in the market for this product," said Mauricio Blanco. "It has the greatest possibilities for expansion that exist in the market.
