Chauvet Announced Acquisition of ChamSys

Latin America. The designer and manufacturer of lighting controllers based in Southampton, United Kingdom, ChamSys was acquired by the company Chauvet, thus managing to grow its presence in the controller market, which complements Chauvet Professional luminaires and their LED video panels.

"We are very excited about the opportunity to partner with ChamSys, which has a well-deserved reputation for innovation, quality and value, all of which are the same principles that are at the heart of our own Chauvet brands. Together, ChamSys and Chauvet are in a position to better cover and serve global markets," said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet & Sons LLC.

ChamSys will continue to operate independently from its facility in Southampton, UK. ChamSys founders Chris Kennedy and George McDuff will remain as the company's MANAGING DIRECTORS and, along with Sales Director Tony Cameron, will continue to lead its engineering, operations, sales and customer service team.

The ChamSys MagicQ lighting control series will continue to be sold by the current dealer network, except in the United States, where Chauvet will sell and support ChamSys products from its headquarters in Sunrise, Florida. Chauvet Professional's sales team will assume responsibility for ChamSys sales in the United States. They will have the full support of Phil Watson, former CEO of ChamSys, Inc., who has been appointed Director of ChamSys USA.

"We are committed to maintaining the ChamSys brand and its reputation for excellence, supporting the vision and culture of its management team. At the same time, we are also looking forward to growing ChamSys in the United States and making this line of featured controllers available to an even larger market," added Albert Chauvet.
