Latin America. As one of its novelties for 2017, the company Barix will update its platform for Audio Signage with free firmware for the transmission of multichannel audio tracks to digital signage facilities with a single or multiple screens.
Barix's Audio Signage platform allows businesses and visitor attractions to transmit audio signals associated with digital signage for mobile phones over Wi-Fi networks.
The firmware update will run on Barix's standard Exstreamer Store & Play devices as opposed to expensive PC-based devices that are also complicated to manage. The firmware is available for download at: www.barix.com/downloads.
Barix's updated Audio Signage solution works in any location where digital signage needs an additional boost from audio signals to effectively transmit the message. Although previously, Barix Instreamer devices and a free Mobile Audio Signaling application were used to transmit audio signals over a single channel, the second generation of Barix devices is capable of transmitting multichannel audio signals in a simple, fast and economical way.
Barix Audio Signage is specially designed to transmit audio signals to mobile phones with very low latency, ensuring that audio tracks are synchronized with the content of digital signage. Therefore, the version of Audio Signage with a single channel has already found great acceptance in hotels and museums where digital signage is used.
This launch will take place within the framework of the next ISE 2017 fair, which will take place at the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam from February 7 to 10.
