Platform, 100% of your staff is trained with InfoComm

Colombia. Plataforma, a rental company that has a presence in 12 countries in Latin America, is developing a training program for 100% of its operating plant in Colombia with InfoComm's online courses, Quick Start in the AV Industry, The Fundamentals of the AV Industry for Technical and Sales Professionals, and most of them have passed the RAVT exam, Audiovisual Technician Recognized by InfoComm. Likewise, the administrative and commercial plant is developing the course of The Fundamentals of the Audiovisual Industry.

About this achievement, which began in Colombia and is being replicated in the rest of the countries where they are based, Thelma Gómez Román, Director of Operations of the company, spoke with AVI LATINOAMÉRICA about the interest in training its staff and the delivery of certificates made on November 26.

Why did you decide to do this certificate delivery?
Thelma Gómez:
It is a recognition of the effort made by the operational work team when alternating their daily activities with online study. We consider it a stimulus to that effort, the recognition internally and externally with our customers.

Why are you doing this training with InfoComm?
Thelma Gómez
: We consider that in this way we contribute to the professionalization of the industry and generate a status to the Event Coordinator (title assigned to the interior of the company).

What is the company's perspective and its directives of this program and its impact on the industry?
Thelma Gómez:
Our perspective is to train our team more and more every day, generating a differential in the audiovisual industry. We want to say that we are 100% certified and go looking for the standardization of audiovisual services in the hotel sector, convention center and clubs, standing out in the know-how.

When did you start the training?
Thelma Gomez:
It was in December 2015. We started the internal communication in December 2015 and we took 2016 to start the trainings.

Could you name the cities where people are located?
Thelma Gómez:
Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Armenia, Manizales, Pereira, Santa Marta, Valledupar, Montería, Guajira nationally, internationally, we have certified personnel in Panama, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico.
