Harman's JBL turns 70

Latin America. The reproduction of music in the last 70 years and the recording of moving images, stand out by a single name: JBL. 1902 - Birth of James B. Lansing, Illinois, USA
1927 - Lansing Manufacturing Company founded in Los Angeles
1947 - JBL develops D130 15" (38cm) speaker with the first commercial use of 4" (100mm) voice coil
1962 - JBL creates the first 2-way studio monitor to use a high-frequency acoustic lens
1969 - Sidney Harman acquires JBL, ushering in a period of accelerated international growth
1975 - Model 4682 thermoplastic "Strong" Line Array
1979 - Development of the (SFG) symmetrical magnet structure geometry field
1986 - The first models of the Control® series
1995 - Birth of the EON-molded integrated enclosure, portable speakers with motor
2000 - ScreenArray® Screen Three-Way Cinema Systems Compensation Disclosure
2002 - JBL Engineers receive the Scientific and Technical Awards of the Film Academy
2005 - JBL receives a Technical Grammy® from the National Academy of Arts and Sciences
2011 - D2 Dual Diaphragm Compression Controller developed, first used in VTX Line Arrays
2012 - M2 studio monitors with waveguide image control, D2 conductor and low TCR-woofer moving coil
2016... Intalled Sound models are born as: Control Series that offer a high quality of ambient sound for outdoors. Also the successful JBL Control 60 series pendant  speaker lines, the AWC outdoor speaker series and the HST Control wide coverage wall-mount speakers.

In addition to the new CONTROL HST speakers, CONTROL 31, CONTROL 85 M, CONTROL 88 M and CONTROL 64 P/T,  they are designed for outdoor applications, they are highly resistant to control weathering providing excellent full-range sound quality and 360 degree coverage. 

Also, EON ONE a portable audio sound system that combines the superior sound quality of a professional system with the look and convenience of a compact column-type speaker.
