InfoComm Partners with BICSI for New Course

International. InfoComm International has partnered with BICSI to develop a new online education course titled How to Install and Validate Cables Category, foundational training for AV and IT professionals working with high-resolution video and real-time audio.

The new course provides fundamental teaching for installation technicians working with category cable in the audiovisual industry. The full 10-hour course starts with the basics of wiring, familiarizing yourself with cable connectors and cable terminology. The course also includes lessons on F501.01:2015, InfoComm Cable's new standard for audiovisual systems.

How to Install and Validate Cable Category for AV is the first online course that includes a skills demonstration component. Students will take photos or videos of their completion and validation of tests, which will be reviewed by the instructors. To enhance the learning experience, the course also features 10 demo videos.

"InfoComm is committed to providing AV  professionals with rich educational resources. It is important for InfoComm to work with associations like BICSI to share best practices and incorporate them into our training. This ensures more technical professionals in the field who are following universal standards. We look forward to collaborating with BICSI on additional educational programs in the future," said David Labuskes, CTS, RCDD, Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm International.
