Mexico. It is 10 years of bringing the latest in lighting design to architects and designers through the Design and Light diploma (Dilux). A decade ago a project was born between Philips and the Universidad Iberoamericana that allows to make available to the interested parties everything related to the design of lighting, as well as its implementation and improvement.
Throughout this decade the ideas have emerged in a way that lighting transforms the spaces and the inhabitants of these spaces have the ability to personalize it improving the quality of life. Year after year improves for this Diploma a form of creative expression linked to lighting and technology. It has had the presence in master conferences of world renowned , who have shared with the students basic concepts of design and lighting, as well as techniques and experience on the effects in lighting, energy saving, and its relationship with architecture.
In each diploma theory and practice are combined, in the theoretical classes basic topics on light, vision and lighting are touched, while in the practical modules they focus on Lighting Design under aspects of Perception, Architecture, Environment and Technology which allows to know different points of view that complement the projects and provide different lighting solutions. At the end of all the work is reinforced with workshops where participants share their opinions and concerns regarding the subject of light.
