AVIXA appointed Country Manager for Colombia

Colombia. After four years of having joined the Association, supporting activities in Latin America, Ana María Restrepo has been appointed as AVIXA Country Manager for Colombia.

His experience acquired in these years, going through different areas, such as marketing, coordination of academic programs and events in Latin America and the coordination of the membership program, allowed him to meet the AV Industry in the country and the region, reaching this new position in the organization.

In his conversation with AVI LATIN AMERICA, he commented: "Now my work will be focused on strengthening the development of AVIXA in Colombia, and from this country supporting activities in Venezuela, Costa Rica and Panama. The Association seeks to be the center of the industry, and a catalyst for market growth; at the same time that we work to offer people and companies memberships that seek to meet their needs and we support professionals to become certified and actors in our industry to generate new networks of contacts".

As part of the activities that AVIXA will have in Latin America in 2018, face-to-face courses will continue to be held in different countries, as well as three-hour itinerant courses, scheduled in Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. These courses will present AVIXA content and will be exclusive to its associates. The usual round tables of the Association will also be held.

Finally, Ana María Restrepo stressed that "although in 2017 the Colombian economy was weak, the projection to 2022 is that the country will regain strength and continue to grow. Colombia accounts for approximately 14% of the total value of the AV industry in Latin America and 44% of the value of South America."
