Panasonic presented its environmental vision towards 2050

International. Panasonic Corporation announced its new long-term vision under the concept "Panasonic Environment Vision 2050" which will guide Panasonic Group towards full environmental sustainability by 2050.

Since its foundation in 1918, Panasonic has implemented business activities based on its corporate philosophy of contributing to the improvement of the lives of people around the world, as well as the development of society through different activities and resolutions.

In the pursuit of that ideal, the environment has been one of the most important elements in defining the activities that the group carries out. Panasonic is working alongside the Green Plan 2018 (GP2018) environmental action plan, created in 2010, and designed primarily to reduce CO2 emissions in the production and use of the products.

With the goals set in GP2018 practically already achieved, Panasonic has now set itself a clear goal towards the correct environmental management by 2050. The new vision also reflects the company's greater diversification, which includes consumer and home electronics, automotive and B2B technology, which involve extended efforts toward a sustainable society, while providing a better life for each customer under the slogan "A Better Life, A Better World."

Many of Panasonic's products use energy to operate. Under this new environmental vision, Panasonic will not only seek to reduce the amount of energy consumed by its products, but also improve its energy creation and storage solutions, to reduce the impact on the environment and contribute opportunities to use clean energy in various situations. Likewise, Panasonic, as a global company, will try to benefit the environment by creating more energy than it uses.

To carry out this vision, Panasonic will also work on the development of other related technologies. The outlook for Panasonic Environment Vision 2050 is as follows:
