Positive expectations for the industry in Latam

Although during the last two years the economic situation in Latin America affected the sustained growth of the audiovisual industry in the region, expectations for the next 4 years are positive. This is shown by the market study Panorama of the professional audio and video industry (Pro AV) and trend analysis 2017 (IOTA), produced by Avixa.

The study sets the annual growth value for the AV Pro until 2022 at 4%. Some data that reflects this study and that allow us to foresee a positive outlook of the industry in the region, are video screens, which represent 8% of the market - around USD 5 billion in 2016 - and it is expected that between 2017 and 2022 an annual growth rate of 11 percent will be recorded, reaching USD 9.7 billion.

On the other hand, AV installation and integration is the second largest category in the market that generated USD 8.3 billion in 2016, and will grow more than 4% annually until 2022, representing USD 10 billion.

The report states that no other product category will grow as fast as lighting fixtures, but this will only account for 4% of investment in the industry. These equipment will have a growth rate of 24 percent, and in 2022, they will generate 10% of the value of the AV industry.

Therefore, it is important to prepare for this growth, hand in hand with training, be at the forefront of the latest trends and generate innovative projects with high technical quality.

I'm keeping an eye out for your feedback on the industry in [email protected]
