Claypaky is acquired by German manufacturer Arri

International. ARRI announced the acquisition of Claypaky. With this acquisition, the film technology company gains one of the leading lighting manufacturers in the entertainment and stage industry.

"With Claypaky as part of our corporate group, ARRI will become a leading provider of best-branded lighting solutions for both the film and live entertainment markets," emphasizes Dr. Matthias Erb, Chairman of the Executive Board of ARRI. "The experience, passion and dedication to lighting that distinguishes both companies also demonstrates that we are well matched. These similarities form a solid basis for building successful cooperation and further development of our business areas."

Employees and the Claypaky brand are invaluable assets and key success factors in bringing both companies together. Claypaky will remain an organization with its brand, configuration and staff structure and locations. The same is true for ARRI, the current configuration and locations will remain.

Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Seriate (Bergamo, Northern Italy), Claypaky looks back on a long and successful history featuring a wealth of original and innovative products, such as movable body and moving mirror projectors, color changers, tracking spotlights, projectors, and various lighting effects, many of which have won awards and have been used in prestigious projects. Professional sectors that use Claypaky light effects include theater, television, live events, trade shows, theme parks, shops, conference centers, and many more.

ARRI, founded in 1917 and headquartered in Munich, consists of the Camera Systems, Lighting and Rental business units. The portfolio includes digital cameras, lenses, camera accessories, archiving technologies, lamp heads, lighting fixtures and system solutions such as the design and engineering of complete transmission and virtual production studios.
