Shure launches new generation in frequency coordination

shure

Latin America. Shure introduced the successor to the Axient ACT600 Spectrum Manager, the new Shure Axient Digital AD600 Spectrum Manager, a next-generation tool for planning and managing frequency coordination in the most demanding professional audio applications, such as tours, live broadcasts, outdoor sound, theaters and churches.

With the future of wireless technology in mind, Shure has designed the AD600's tuning range to support the 174 MHz to 2 GHz frequency bands, including and expanding the frequencies on which the AXT600 can operate.

Compared to the AXT600, the AD600 features faster scanning that finds available frequencies and analyzes the RF spectrum in real time, streamlining spectrum analysis and management at the workplace.

The AD600 features six antenna inputs to cover multiple antennas and locations. The AD600 also offers the ability to listen to analog signals, as well as the standard and HD functions of Axient Digital, a new DC power option for remote production, USB connections for external storage of scan data, event logs and other data, as well as Dante connectivity for advanced audio monitoring.

The AD600 also features a large 6.6-inch full-color display on the front panel for easy viewing of information, while real-time scanning and monitoring of RF signals provides live information when it's needed most. In addition, AD600 supports Shure Wireless Workbench, expanding control and monitoring options for users.

When combined with other Axient Digital solutions, AD600 users can benefit from interference-avoidance features through ShowLink, a feature unique to the Axient Digital Ecosystem that enables real-time control and communication with all ADX transmitters.

The Guided Coordination features available on the AD600 give the user the ability to plan, scan, and deploy frequencies throughout their system, or drill down for complete control in challenging RF environments. In addition, additional tools available make it possible to analyze the spectrum, listen to RF activity, capture data, and examine the RF of the environment.

The main functions of the AD600 have already been tested at major events around the world. Steve Caldwell, RF coordinator, relied on AD600 and Axient Digital in some of the world's most demanding RF situations, such as at the international athletics competition held in Tokyo last summer.
