U.S. Government Certifies Philips Displays

philips

International. As part of a strategy of continued investment, expansion and growth in North America, PPDS, Philips' exclusive global supplier of professional displays, achieved COMPLIANCE with the TAA (Trade Act Agreement) that now enables the acquisition of Philips displays for federal, state and local government projects and facilities for videowall and 4K UHD digital signage.

Created in 1979, TAA compliance requires that products and goods considered for government use be manufactured or substantially transformed in the U.S. or designated TAA countries. Products for government use are available through selected commercial companies, such as distributors, with government contracts from the federal supply program.

Meeting market demand
The announcement, which provides significant business opportunities for both PPDS and the U.S. government, follows sustained demand from PPDS channel partners in the U.S. and includes philips 4K D-Line digital signage and the company's best-selling Philips X-Line video wall, which are now fully TAA-compliant and immediately available.

PPDS has identified Education, Homeland Security, Justice, Commerce, Transportation and Energy among key executive departments where it can bring about positive transformative change, job benefits and energy efficiency opportunities.

Designed for 24/7 use, these displays are fully equipped to meet the unique and ever-evolving current and future mission-critical needs and requirements demanded by the government, including high-power performance, unmatched reliability, and military-grade security.

By seamlessly integrating into an existing IT network, the screens can be fully configured and customized to fit any space, whether it's a large, creative video wall at the front desk or a control room, innovative orientation screens in the hallways, or highly collaborative and communicative solutions in offices, meeting rooms, and cafeterias.

In due course, more Philips professional display products will be added to the PPDS portfolio, which, along with solutions from PPDS's evolving third-party associations (such as Crestron, Logitech, and Intel) are configured to provide the industry's most comprehensive set of visual solutions. to the U.S. government, each with extensive customization, control, and remote (including central) management capabilities.

Franck Racapé, Global Commercial Director at PPDS, commented: "Today's announcement marks an important step forward for PPDS in North America and is part of our overall long-term strategic global growth ambitions to exponentially expand Philips' professional display sales. Securing TAA status in our Philips X- and D-Line products will open doors not only to us and our reseller partners, but also to a multitude of government departments, where our solutions can bring positive changes and significant benefits to their teams to be smarter and more work and communications efficient."

Local approach with global strength
In North America, PPDS recently became a wholly-owned subsidiary of TPV, the world's largest supplier of LCD displays, as part of the company's accelerated "hypergrowth" strategy in the U.S. market.

PPDS' U.S. headquarters is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, with access to an unmatched global network of manufacturing facilities, strengths, and resources, including priority access to core components and materials for manufacturing continuity and end-to-end supply chain systems. allowing full control and supervision of logistics flows.
