Latin America. CEDIA has partnered with TecnoMultimedia InfoComm to provide education at its regional events. Starting in 2015, CEDIA will organize and moderate a two-day conference program, aimed specifically at residential systems contractors during the TecnoMultimedia InfoComm in Mexico and Colombia.
At TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Mexico, which will be held in August, CEDIA will provide 10 hours of training in Spanish, spread over two days and aimed at home automation professionals. The content will then be replicated at the Bogotá event in November 2015.
"I am happy to complement our program with a strong academic offer from the residential part of the business," said Max Jaramillo, Director of TecnoMultimedia InfoComm. "CEDIA will provide the content. We will promote conferences for the regional market. It plays with our individual strengths to make our events an even more attractive proposition for visitors."
As part of the agreement, in addition to the quality of the content that will be presented, CEDIA has agreed to promote its participation to its 3,500 member companies worldwide at the service of 22,000 industry professionals.
For 2016, all three shows – Brazil, Mexico and Colombia – will include a CEDIA academic component.
"We are very pleased to connect with new and current members and present timely and relevant education in this region," said Tom Owens, Director of International Markets at CEDIA. It really is a win-win not only for CEDIA and Infocomm, but also for the tech professionals in the house."
The official agreement was announced during the recent InfoComm roundtable in Mexico City, by Don Gilpin, Executive Director of CEDIA, Max Jaramillo, Director of the Tecnomultimedia InfoComm fairs and Rodrigo Casassus, Director of Latin America of InfoComm.
