CTRL is the first university specialized in AV

Mexico. In a changing technology industry that is updated day by day, the professionalization of human assets is paramount. Under this premise, Escuadra Technology announced the launch of a unique venture at the local, regional and international level: the first university dedicated exclusively to training professionals in audio and video: CTRL Interactive University.

Based in Mexico, specifically in the state of Puebla, CTRL Interactive University will be the first academic institution to train professionals in these industries. "We need a lot of formal training for what we do and that's why we undertake this project. Unfortunately we have sometimes had accidents, and even deaths, due to lack of preparation in the industry. This was one of the first intentions to create this university," Erick López, director of Escuadra, a Mexican company that provides audio and video technology and who heads and undertook the new educational project, told AVI Latin America.

In August 2020 —with registrations from the first months of the year—, CTRL Interactive University will start operations with an educational offer of three bachelor's degrees and a master's degree: Audiovisual Engineering; Engineering in Technological Integration; Engineering in Business Management of the Audiovisual Industry; and Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence.

The offer will be comprehensive: bachelor's degrees and unique trainings in the world; state-of-the-art facilities designed exclusively to have the best training for learners. To this should be added that the new graduates will have professional certifications from the technology companies that Escuadra Technology represents in Mexico, and that they are also sponsors of the new educational institution, such as Creston, Panasonic, Sennheiser, Christie, among many other leading brands.

"What we are looking for is to professionalize the sector. Many brands supported us and told us that such a venture not only does not exist in Mexico, it does not exist in the world. It became a challenge. As technology changes so fast, companies will renew our equipment every year, so we will update ourselves in content for many years," said López.

He added: "By having the support of cutting-edge technology companies, that will be our differentiator before other universities. We will be a university that not only delivers an engineering degree, we will also accompany you with around 20 certifications from leading companies in the audio and video industries."
