Latin America. Vertiv introduced the PowerUPS 9000, a high-power-density, energy-efficient uninterruptible power supply (UPS) unit with a compact size.
The system has been designed to support IT applications ranging from traditional computing to high-density applications and is available in UL and CE certified models, from 250 to 1250 kW per unit.
It has been designed for high power density as well as high double-conversion efficiency of up to 97.5%. In addition, the system allows for quick and easy installation, with wiring entry at the bottom and top, as well as backflow protection and grounding fault kit options integrated into the system without the need for additional space for on-site installation.
The units can be deployed anywhere in the world, reducing procurement and maintenance inconsistencies, delivery delays, and downtime.
The Vertiv PowerUPS 9000 is Vertiv's most efficient UPS in its class and has a 32% smaller footprint than previous generations. It is compatible with the Vertiv™ EnergyCore lithium-ion battery cabinet and other battery technologies, such as throttle acid lead acid (VRLA) and nickel-zinc batteries.
In Vertiv's labs, Vertiv engineers subjected the Vertiv PowerUPS 9000 to extensive Engineering Validation Testing (EVT) and Design Validation Testing (DVT) under a wide range of operating conditions to confirm its reliability and performance in real-world scenarios.
In addition, it passed environmental, performance, and out-of-normal case tests, including debris protection tests, structural seismic integrity and resistance tests, as well as surge and voltage drop tests, all of which simulated the extreme conditions the system can cope with.
