Chile. The Chilean cinema chain Muvix has equipped the seven screens of its new multiplex in the city of Talca with Christie's CineLife+ cinema projectors. The new multiplex has a capacity of 1313 seats with seven rooms with screens ranging from 10 to 16 meters wide, equipped with projectors with brightness from 9000 to 22000 lumens.
Room 7, called Sala Aera, has Dolby Atmos sound and a 16-metre large-format screen illuminated by a Christie 4K projector that, in the words of Sebastián Martínez, CEO and founder of Muvix, "delivers a unique experience with superior image quality".
Muvix and its sister chain Cine Star belong to the Syem Group, the only exhibition company in the country with Chilean capital. The company already had 20 Christie projectors distributed in its different cinemas throughout the country.
"The truth is that Christies are reliable projectors, with excellent image quality and a very low technical failure rate relative to their competitors. They are robust and very reliable equipment, and they are easy to learn to manipulate," added the CEO of Muvix.
Diego Lopez, general manager of Christie's NOLA and Andean Region, said: "We are very happy that Muvix continues to rely on Christie for its new complexes. We know that for this channel the experience of its audience is the most important thing and that it is committed to delivering the highest standards in projection. So we're thrilled that they feel totally safe in our hands."
