Reeder sold counterfeit products, including imitation Sennheiser and other consumer electronics brands, through a number of websites since 2010. More than 4,000 counterfeit goods with a total value of £168,000 were seized by Portsmouth authorities on his property.
To prevent such cases and protect its consumers, Sennheiser is implementing a number of measures, such as a new security label and a QR code that is included in all its packaging so that it can be scanned and confirm the authenticity of products online.
