Latin America. Panasonic do Brasil, responsible for the Japanese brand's operations in Latin America, held a reception for its partners and customers in the region as part of the NAB Show.
The welcoming remarks were given by Masatoshi Taniguchi, Head of Panasonic ProAV Business, who referred to the importance of the meeting whose objective is to strengthen ties with its partners and thus contribute to the development of the Latin American market.
Then it was the turn of Rodrigo Costa, Sales Manager of Panasonic do Brasil, who in his presentation highlighted that in the 2023 Fiscal Review, the company made strong investments in marketing, backup products and advanced inventory. In this sense, he highlighted the brand's participation in 8 international fairs, 37 road shows and workshops in Latin American territory.
At the level of pre- and post-sales support, he referred to the creation of a new contact, control and management system. He also pointed out the evolution of the flow and delivery time in spare parts, which in 2022 was 89 days, in 2023 47 and that for 2024 it will be reduced to 27 days.
Another relevant aspect of the night was when he announced that this year there will be 32 new contents at Panasonic University, registering a total of 203 videos; as well as the launch of Panasonic's new online and face-to-face qualification program coming through Panasonic Academy.

After presenting the sales results for the period, Panasonic do Brasil presented three awards for the performance of its regional partners. The first of these was for Merlin Distributor for having achieved a 65% growth in its operations; the second went to ProAVSys (Pro Audio / Video Systems Corp.) for having achieved the highest sales volume in Latin America; and the third went to Video Broadcast for having developed the largest broadcast project in Latin America in Peru.
The main activities for this year were then detailed: the generation of Leeds through digital media campaigns; Participation in 12 fairs and road shows, workshops and demo tours with their new products. It was also announced that it will incorporate the Lumix line of cameras and lenses into its product portfolio to be distributed in the region.
He announced changes in the structure of the organization with the addition of Shintaro Kakihana as Business Planning Manager. The return to Japan of Shinya Sato, Product Manager of Panasonic do Brasil, was also announced.
Karen Inatome, Sales Manager for Canada and Latin America, gave attendees an overview that included the brand's major launches during NAB Show 2024, including the new AT-KC20M1 with SDI I/O board for KC200/2000 in the Main Frame (Kairos Core) category. At the software level, it was announced that the AT-KC200L1 SDI model with IP upgradable for 3G (24inx12out) and 4K (6x6 inx-out) will arrive in June; in the 2Q v1.7 smart routing; and in 4Q v1.8 TBD. He also announced that the new AW-UR100 PTZ will be launched in August; while the new AK-UCU710/700 for 12G SDI and the new AK-NP701G, NP702G and NP703G suitable for ST 2110, NDI, SRT, JEPG and Dante stood out in the studio camera line-up.
Another highlight of the brand was the announcement of the launch of the new software-based Media Production Suite to consolidate PC software for Panasonic's professional camera systems into one convenient platform, providing access to multiple functions on a single GUI screen for highly intuitive and efficient on-site video production.
