Chauvet lit up the stage of the Glastonbury festival

International. From the Pyramid stage, where Tim Routledge used the COLORado Solo Batten to accentuate Stormzy's thrilling performance, to the magical Flying Bus stage and Greenpeace field, to the crowded Acoustic stage, Chauvet Professional flooded the 36th edition of the Glastonbury Festival with vivid colours and dazzlingly bright lights.

Chauvet  teams animated some of the festival's biggest performances and most popular attractions. On the pyramid main stage, a massive collection of  COLORado Solo Batten  helped delineate the architecture of the set and project immersive color bathrooms from multiple directions.

At the Unfairgrounds, the GLX Productions team, led by Managing Director and Lighting Designer Glenn Gridley, used an extensive collection of Maverick equipment to create transformative moments. This was noticed on the Flying Bus stage where they evoked an attractive and surreal effect with the help of 12 Maverick MK Pyxis, 12 Maverick MK1 Spot and 3 units of Maverick MK1 Hybrid. By placing these elements inside and under the bus, the teams endowed the stage with a resplendent otherworldly vibe.

The Maverick teams also had a transformative effect on the festival's Greenpeace field, where the Bailes+Light team relied on the IP65-rated Maverick Storm 1 Wash to create an environmentally friendly light forest. Added to the wonderful exterior panorama were the products COLORado Solo Batten, ÉPIX Strip IP, COLORado Panel Q40, STRIKE 1 and STRIKE P38, along with the F4IP video panels.

Rob Sangwell and Simon Johnson of Fineline Lighting added a powerful punch to the Acoustic stage for artists like The Mavericks and Keane with a structure that highlighted 16 Maverick MK3 Spot  units and 18  Maverick MK3 Wash. The colour quality and intense brightness of the Maverick  teams  prompted Fineline to include these lights as an essential part of their plans for Glastonbury.

Apparently, the Lighting Designers who visited the event shared this enthusiasm. When Landon Bloss, Director of Lighting for the Grammy Award-winning band The Mavericks; He first saw the Maverick MK3 Spot  on the Acoustic stage, his reaction was "What rays are those?" He says he thought those super-bright pieces of equipment "must be lamps," and he never expected them to actually be   LED units. But Glastonbury has a tradition of offering big surprises... and in this scenario it didn't just happen for the fans; but also for visiting Lighting Designers.
