Although the numbers surrounding this business have not been revealed, it was known that the interest of the two companies is to integrate the three-dimensional surround sound technology that Imm Sound has been implementing in theaters in the United States, Korea, Italy, Ireland, Spain and Japan, with Dolby Atmos technology.
This business has been very well seen by the film industry, because although Dolby is a leading company in the sound market worldwide, the Spanish have been growing and increasing their market share with good quality products.
Considering that the sound products for the cinemas of both companies have complementary technology, it is expected that the benefit for customers will be even greater, resulting in a better product for viewers.
In addition to technology, Dolby acquires a significant number of customers who today have Imm Sound technology installed. Only in 2012 there are 14 movie theaters that have been intervened by the Spanish company, both in Europe, as well as in Asia and America.
As part of the business, the two companies drew up a roadmap to evaluate the technical conditions by which the integration of the two three-dimensional surround sound systems should be carried out , in such a way that the system is optimized and potentiated for the benefit of customers.
