International. The first six 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements delivered by the company Meyer Sound, were successfully tested in early July at the Britt Festivals in Jacksonville, Oregon, thanks to rental house George Relles Sound.
The new system is used in place of traditional subwoofers and is characterized by its sound linearity in the reproduction of low frequency transients at high and continuous levels with very low distortion over an operating range of 28 Hz to 100 Hz.
For the Britt Festivals, the 1100-LFC speakers were distributed three per side in a cardioid configuration on stage. With its linear response a solid bass of 91 meters upwards is achieved, but from behind it is not noticeable if they are on.
George Relles, owner of the rental and installation company that bears his name, said that "the main reason I bought the 1100-LFC was to get more power with a smaller package."
The balance of the Meyer Sound systems was composed of nine MICA linear array speakers per side, two JM-1P and UPA-1P speakers as frontfill and two CQ-1 speakers for corner reinforcement, and two UPM-1P speakers for delay. The same basic system will be installed for the rest of the Festival season, which has employed Meyer Sound systems exclusively since 1986.
