He explained that, with the help of Meyer Sound's technical support team, they created a mono system with hanging arrangements made up of 11 M2D linear array speakers each and 10 M2D speakers in the center.
In this way they managed to fill the wide rear portion of the oval sand, three hanging arrangements were placed for delay with eight MICA speakers each, increased by two CQ-2 speakers for coverage per zone.
In addition, they located seven linear array MINA speakers distributed along the edge of the stage as a front fill, 16 UPM-1P speakers provided stage monitoring, and a system for Galileo speaker control with two Galileo 616 processors supplied the optimization and power of the system.
"I heard comments that this was the best spoken word event in the history of the arena," commented Bill Daly, who added that the mixing console for the event was a Yamaha M7CL, and the microphone for the keynote speaker was a DPA d:fine cardioid headband.
