Panduit cumple 35 años en LATAM

Latin America. Panduit celebrates 35 years of operations in Latin America. Since the opening of its second global subsidiary in Mexico in 1989, from which it began its expansion throughout Latin America, the organization has maintained an unwavering commitment to innovation, quality and customer satisfaction, which has allowed it to grow more than 10% annually in the region, in the last five years.

"Panduit is the leading company in infrastructure solutions in Latin America, and this achievement has not been fortuitous, since, for 35 years, we have worked tirelessly to design innovative solutions that not only meet the needs of the region, but also adapt to constant technological transformations. We were born out of innovation, and through it we have earned and maintained the trust of our customers and strategic partners. We will continue to invest and bet on the region," says Carlos Arochi, Panduit's director of Latin America.

According to Arochi, the Latin American market is dynamic and always seeks to be at the forefront, adopting new technologies quickly and effectively. With a GDP of $5.2 trillion and annual growth of 4.7%, the region represents a critical stronghold for Panduit's customers and for the company itself, including transnational corporations that rely on local manufacturing.

"At Panduit, we develop solutions that are the backbone of the companies' operations, supporting 100% of their activity. These solutions are responsible for 80% of reliability, as the physical infrastructure, both electrical and connectivity, is crucial to their operation. However, these solutions represent only 7% of the total investment, which underlines their efficiency and strategic value," says Arochi.

35 years of innovation
The global company, which began its operations with the launch and invention of the famous "Pan-duct" or duct for cabling in 1955, has consolidated its presence in the Latin American market with more than 3 thousand international patents and innovative technological solutions for connectivity, electrical, industrial, data centers and Audio and video, which has allowed it to reach first place in market share in much of Latin America; in Mexico, Panduit has more than 50% of the market share.

To supply the needs of the market, the company has three large manufacturing plants, two of them located in Mexico and Costa Rica. This demonstrates its ability to lead in innovation and adapt to changing market demands, as the solutions manufactured in these plants supply the markets of North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe.

"Celebrating 35 years in Latin America is not only a milestone for Panduit, but a testament to our dedication and commitment to the region. We have grown together with our customers, anticipating their needs and offering solutions that facilitate their digital and operational transformation," says Carlos Arochi.

Relevance in key countries
Panduit began its expansion in Latin America in 1989, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Today, it operates throughout the region, with a network of 140 distributors in more than 208 branches, 295 business partners, more than 5,000 infrastructure experts, more than 10 storage sites and 62 offices. In addition, 40% of its global workforce supports operations in this region.

Mexico becomes Panduit's main bastion in Latin America, with the highest market penetration and a leading position in Data Centers, industry, connectivity networks, electrical infrastructure and professional video solutions.

"Mexico has established itself as our strongest market in Latin America. Likewise, our plant in Mexico is not only one of the largest in the world, but also a nerve center for innovation and the development of new technologies that our customers demand, since everything we do and envision, is for them. On the other hand, it is strongly developed in the industrial sector, due to nearshoring, and in the Data Center sector, since it has become a HUB for large companies," emphasizes Arochi.

The company's vision is clear: to be the strategic partner that drives digital transformation in its main key countries in Latin America, among which the following stand out:

● Mexico: Key market due to its proximity to the United States and connection with Latin America, with significant market penetration and product development of industrial networks and connectivity, data centers, manufacturing, electrical infrastructure and professional video.
● Peru: Noted for its industrial and mining sector, Peru has seen significant growth in market share, positioning itself near the top spot in the market.
● Chile: With a robust economy and key sectors such as data centers and mining, Chile will see the opening of a new office and experience center this year.
● Colombia: the second most relevant country in terms of growth and investments, especially in data centers and the industrial sector.
● Costa Rica: home to the largest Panduit plant in the world, with a history of more than 28 years in the region.
● Central America and the Caribbean: areas of greatest growth for Panduit, with a number one market share in several countries.
● Brazil: one of the largest markets in Latin America, with great growth expectations in the coming years.

Ambitious plans for the future
Panduit is projected to double its growth over the next six years, targeting a 100% increase by 2029. This ambitious expansion plan reflects the company's commitment to innovation and the continuous development of solutions that meet the needs of its customers. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the company allocates approximately 6% of its annual revenues to research and development

"We started making conduits for cables. Now, we seek to anticipate the needs of the market, from professional audio and video products to data center solutions and electrical infrastructure," says Carlos Arochi.

Proximity to the value chain and commitment to digital transformation
In addition, Panduit maintains a close and continuous relationship with its distribution chain, integrators and alliances, as well as with end customers. The company plans to hold regional events focused on various industries to listen to and support its customers, aligning visions and strategies for the future.

In this sense, the Latin American region has experienced a significant increase in the adoption of digital transformation, especially after the pandemic. Panduit remains committed to helping its customers navigate and thrive in this digital environment by offering advanced infrastructure and communication solutions.
