The next step in connectivity: Fiber in the home

Reichle & De-Massari, R&M,Latin America. In the post-pandemic world, Reichle & De-Massari, R&M, recognizes that the following scenario is becoming a norm and an opportunity for the industry and its channels: Multi-dwelling units, where several families have been working from home at the same time.

All of them require ultra-fast internet connections to your company's server, to the cloud, for video conferencing, to control machines remotely, and many other things.

Basic supply
Traditional two-core copper wiring in homes will soon not be able to cope with these situations. If all the inhabitants of a building need transmission speeds of several hundred MB/s at the same time, fiber optic connections will be part of the basic supply. We talk about fiber at Home (FITH), Fiber to the floor and Fiber to the home office.

How can fiber optic connections be installed for ultra-fast Internet access throughout an entire building at an acceptable cost?

- Publicidad -

First of all, there are some requirements that must be met. Both owners and service providers expect complete packages, ready to be installed, for the route from the point of entry into the building to the power outlet (BEP). They are not interested in long and complex construction works. Installation cables and fibers should be thin and flexible. Installers have to be able to pass them through narrow ducts, old empty tubes and through many corners.

Finally, power outlets are also required, such as R&M's FiberOutlet: Ideally, people should look for pre-assembled, retrofitable power outlets, as well as self-explanatory mounting, effortless splicing on site, a design that suits users' homes, and clear labeling of links and ports. And, above all, security. The laser beam emitted must not endanger anyone.

The R&M IDWF range
R&M has a modern IDWF solution for the basic supply of fiber optics in homes and small businesses. Its essence is the easy to install and elegant FiberOutlet. It allows ultra-fast fiber optic Internet access to all floors, homes, offices and functional spaces.

With its 60x60 format, it adapts to modern combinations of power outlets, surface or recessed. Thanks to its compact form factor, the FiberOutlet can be easily placed in discreet locations.

Single-mode cables, splice connections and LC Duplex adapters make the connections neutral for the application. Quick R&M assembly and connection sets simplify installation, even with subsequent wiring.
