New zero offset optics for projectors launched Panasonic

Latin America. Panasonic unveiled a new series of optics that includes the ET-DLE020 ultra-short-throw zoom optics, the first of its kind with motorized optical zoom and specially designed for use with all of the company's 1-chip DLP projectors.

It has also developed two optics for Panasonic's high-brightness 3chips DLP™ laser projectors. ET-D3LEW200 short-zoom optics and ET-D3LEU100 ultra-short-throw optics are compatible with 20,000 and 30,000 lumen projectors, WUXGA resolution projectors and 4K+ resolution projectors.

DLPTM 3-chip projector optics feature a novel L-shaped design that solves screen displacement and solves problems related to projecting images from short distances in limited spaces, especially in premises with low ceilings. Thanks to its innovative design, the problem of visual obstruction caused by some UST optics protruding from the projector has also been solved. In turn, this allows the projectors to be stacked to use multiple units or multiply the brightness on a single surface.

With their launch planned for September 2019, all three optics feature a mechanized full-range lens shift that allows for greater adjustment flexibility, while the two motorized zoom models simplify the adjustment of image position and size after installation.

The ET-D3LEU100 ultra-short distance optics allow a projection factor of 0.37:1 (4K+) for projections on large screens from very short distances, while the ET-D3LEW200 short-distance zoom optics include a motorized zoom with a projection factor of 0.70–0.91:1 (4K+).

Both eliminate scrolling without increasing the projection distance. The mechanized lens shift of ±59% (vertical) allows a wide range of adjustments to be made once the projector is installed. Panasonic's optical memory function further accelerates the calibration process.
