Latin America. With the release of Pandoras Box Version 5.9, Christie further strengthens the flexibility of its multi-award-winning Pandoras Box media server system. The newly introduced version provides faster and more intuitive operation and a wider range of options, compatibilities and workflow solutions, designed to make the user's life easier and take full advantage of the potential of the powerful system rendering engine.
New features of the system include a standalone Kiosk Mode, a completely redesigned Patch-Tab, the incorporation of a Cues Tab for an overview of all cues, and an optimized Pandoras Box Codec.
The Pandoras Box system is a complete and ready-to-use solution, as well as very cost-effective, that perfectly combines the latest rendering technology with intuitive media and show control. Present in some of the most spectacular multimedia presentations around the world, it is the ideal choice for any live event, projection mapping or multimedia shows. Flexible and easy to use, it is configurable as a standalone playback device, client playback network or, in console mode, for DMX Direct Control.
Joel St-Denis, Christie's Product Manager, says: "A new aspect incorporated into this version of Pandoras Box is the Kiosk Mode, with which to act as a simple independent device whose configuration and operation do not require special training from us or that we go around the menu.
The idea behind the Kiosk Mode is the need to have a very simple playlist interface, which allows easy ingestion and playback of content on up to four displays. The user is comfortable with the options offered to him. The soft edge and offsets can be configured with faders on the screen, so the system is perfect for installations such as party rooms or digital signage, where simplicity of operation and assembly are essential."
Now, the Pandoras Box Version 5.9 system quadruples the speed of file encoding, provides additional codec information through the file inspector and includes a completely redesigned Patch-Tab and new templates to offer greater speed in the workflow, thus enabling remote control from the light table.
In addition, the user can create their own profiles as well as export and import patch templates with great ease. A Cues Tab has also been introduced to have an overview of all the cues, but also usable to navigate the timeline and leave individual notes per cue.
