Colombia. D2L announced that Juan Lucca has joined the company as Vice President of Sales for Latin America. Lucca will lead the regional sales team to bring Brightspace solutions to academic and government institutions.
Lucca reports to Kevin Biggs, senior vice president of worldwide sales. The executive is responsible for directing revenue from the region and maintaining a high degree of customer and partner satisfaction.
Lucca brings to D2L more than 20 years of experience in leading marketing and sales initiatives. He held various executive positions at Blackboard, Software AG, SAGA Software, Telispark and XML Partners, Inc.
"Juan is joining D2L at an exciting time in the company's growth," said Kevin Biggs. "Juan not only brings an understanding of education and technology but his track record of growing businesses to achieve revenue goals is invaluable to D2L."
