International. Based on motion or presence detectors, minute handers, pushbuttons and time clocks, the company Schneider Electric launched its new lighting control solutions for the common areas of residential buildings.
In spaces of exclusive circulation of people, the company offers lighting control systems through motion detection and for the external areas of the buildings the lighting is activated, either by time programming or by detectors that identify when the sunlight is deficient.
Solutions with timers allow that in scenarios such as parking lots the lights are turned on when a door is opened or with the motion detectors that are activated when cars or people pass.
Luis Catalán, director of KnX Home Automation and Inmotics at Schneider Electric, explained that these solutions are focused on helping to reduce fixed maintenance costs in the administration of a residential building, directly from the electrical consumption of the common areas.
He added that these solutions can be implemented in two ways: from changing the bulbs that allow minimum savings or installing complete control systems that will maximize the saving of energy consumption and that are friendly to the environment.
