Bolivia. The historic Mint of the city of Potosí, now can also be shown off at night thanks to the mining company of San Cristobal subsidiary of the Japanese Sumitomo, to donate a lighting system.

The house was restored six years ago and it is estimated that the works will be completed in four months, however, it was after the installation of the 58 lights that the remodeling begins to be evident. The lights consist of projectors, recessed luminaires in the floors, pillars, facades and balconies in two courtyards of the five that the building has.

The lighting in the first courtyard has 36 points of low luminosity or recessed floor, eight are on the pillars with orange sodium lamps located in the four entrances and another four points are on the pillars of the corners with white metal halide lamps; there are also projectors equipped with LED technology on the water pylon and the Mascaron.

The cost of this work was US $ 72,000, according to the head of the mining office in Potosí, Ricardo Silvety Cruz, with this contribution it is expected to expand tourism in the colonial house at night. The Mint received 72,000 visitors last year, 50% came from abroad and the rest of the nine departments of Bolivia.
