Avolites launches new console for production control

avolites, diamond 9,Latin America. Avolites has announced the launch of its new flagship diamond 9 console in two versions D9-330 and D9-215. The new lighting controllers inspire creative control for production designers in lighting, broadcast and audiovisual, allowing them to create, program and control their best performances.

The Diamond 9 consoles are the result of years of technical innovation by the Avolites team, using their 45 years of experience, drawing on the opinions of renowned designers in the industry and award-winning industrial designers to create the ultimate control platform.

The Diamond series is designed by visual designers, for visual designers and all those related to the audiovisual world, integrating lighting and image as well as other visual aspects of a show. Every screen, fader, encoder and button have been meticulously thought out, so the console becomes an extension of the designer to give you unhindered creative freedom to create the ultimate show.

The new hardware is an engineering feat. Bringing a distinctive new look to the console, the main front panels are designed from a single aluminium plate with high-end finishes and sleek appearance. The D9-330 features a whopping 11 ultra-bright touchscreens, including 3 main workspace displays, 3 for audiovisual preview, and specific displays for attribute control and programmed key shortcuts.

The new motorized, touch-sensitive Penny & Giles faders, along with the new encoders, each have their own RGB bar graphics so levels can be monitored at a glance. The renowned backlit integrated keyboard also returns.

The most interesting side of the D9 is the right, with 5 encoder wheels, a T-bar to control the masters and a new set of carefully placed custom buttons to make finding them a matter of course.

The key differences go far beyond aesthetics; provide much more intuitive AV control integration for lighting designers across all industry sectors. Building on Synergy, launched in October 2019, which enables seamless integration between media server and lighting control, the D9 puts operation at your fingertips, with an intuitive design and ideal designs for media playback and control.

With the increased use of video walls in live performances, installations and even television productions, it is vital to create immersive and uninterrupted lighting and video performance.

New hardware isn't the only fundamental change in this product. The new Avolites logo on the D9 marks the first significant change to the logo since the company's inception in 1976. It reflects the future, oriented towards the strategic direction of the company, while underlining Avolites' creative approach to lighting and media design.
