Mexico. Christie's projection and audio technology has been chosen for the new private screening room designed by Christie partner DOR Internacional S.A. de CV for 20th Century Fox in Mexico. The new Sala Fox, installed in the Mexican capital, has 35 seats and offers executives, creatives and customers of the company a comfortable and innovative environment in which to evaluate the cinematographic proposals aimed at the Mexican market.

Christie's equipment for the new room includes a Solaria Series CP2208 projector, an IMB (Integrated Media Box) and Christie Vive Audio speakers. The chosen projector is one of Christie's DLP models that, in addition to complying with the DCI standard, more than meets the 2D and 3D film presentation needs of post-production studios, showing both films and alternative content exactly under the conditions in which their creators made them. Available with Christie's HFR (High Frame Rate) technology, the brand's digital cinema projectors offer a large number of possibilities in terms of frame rate, brightness and resolution, combining high reliability with low cost of ownership.
The icing on the cake of Christie's contribution to the newly opened screening room is the Christie Vive Audio sound system with Christie's innovative ribbon driver technology. In this technology, designed specifically for digital cinema, the speakers offer advanced design concepts to ensure dynamic and accurate cinematic sound, including rapid response in transit, high dynamic range, control over directivity, minimal distortion and an extended high frequency response. The room has been equipped with LINEAR ARRAYS of the LA Series and subwoofers of the S Series for the screen channels.
"Sala Fox starts from a conversation we had with Fox Mexico. They told us that they planned to change their office, and that in the new building they wanted to have a private screening room. They were aware that the space allocated was quite problematic, and that if we did not come up with a viable plan they would be forced to move to another building. Fortunately, we found the solution: we opted for the projection of Christie and its Vive Audio sound because, in its range, they ensure superior quality with the lowest form factors, "recalled Jacques Dornbierer, director of DOR International and creator, in 1993, of this company today located in the district of Zapopan, in Guadalajara.
The director of DOR International added that the company was commissioned to execute the Sala Fox project in its entirety. That is, from the initial design to engineering or construction work, through interior design or coordination with the various contractors, from the beginning to the installation and final implementation of Christie's projection and audio equipment.
"The construction conditions were more than adverse, but that made it even more attractive as a challenge.
