The FHD264 is a family of HDMI over LAN transmitters (encoders) and receivers (decoders) that use advanced video encoding techniques to distribute up to 64 Full-HD video signals to hundreds of displays on a 1 Gigabit local area network (LAN).
The equipment can extend RS-232 serial communications and IR remote signals and is also capable of extracting audio from HDMI to output it through a 3.5 mm stereo connector on both the transmitter and receiver, as well as local HDMI output.
Each device features a two-line front panel LCD display that can be used to easily configure or monitor parameters such as IP configuration, multicast group selection, device naming, and more.
The RS-232 serial ports on each unit can be used in SoIP (Serial over IP) mode, allowing third-party IP controllers to directly control peripherals via RS-232. In addition, they support IEEE 802.3af PoE, so when connecting to a network switch with PoE, there is no need to connect any power supplies to FHD264 devices. A power supply is included for clients who may not have PoE on their network.
Rackmount hardware is also available to house up to twelve pieces of equipment in a 4U rack space.
