Mexico. The 30,000 people who participated in the most recent version of Conque 2018, the most important comics and entertainment convention in Latin America that was held in Querétaro, were able to enjoy an outstanding digital projection show with Christie technology.
More than 100 artists, 40 hours of presentations and conferences, 50 hours of workshops with the most outstanding exponents of comics, animation, cinema, cosplay and other entertainment disciplines, 40 artists drawing live, 40 hours of screenings of the best films. In short, more than 300 hours with the best of comics and entertainment that turned the state of Querétaro into the comic book capital of four days.
The Metropolitan Theater, where all the projections of the event were held, was equipped with a Christie CP2230, a DLP Cinema technology projector with 33,000 lumens and 2K resolution (upgradeable to 4K), ideal for screens up to 30 meters. This auditorium has capacity for 1200 people and was equipped for the occasion with a screen of 11 x 6 meters.
Luis Gantus, creator of Conque and Content Director of Conque 2018, stressed that "We had good references of Christie by CinemaCon and some local events such as the Light Show of the Pyramids of Chichén Itzá. The Christie projector made the Metropolitan Theater vibrate with exclusive performances from Netflix, Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers, Genco Japan and others. He was also essential in the presentation of the works of Robert Valley, nominated for an Oscar for the short film Pear, Cider and Cigarettes.
