InfoComm. With the presence of representatives of important universities in Latin America, Sony launched its new solutions for the education sector, within the framework of InfoComm Show 2018.
The event was also attended by company executives, both from Japan and Latin America, including Katsunari Matsuoka, president of Sony Professional Solutions Latin America, and was led by Claudius Bezerra, Product Marketing Manager – Latin America of Sony.
The company highlighted the expansion of its portfolio of products for classrooms with two laser projectors of 9 thousand and 12 thousand lumens, which have automatic calibration and a new filter that improves brightness, adjustment memory and fast on and off. With these two devices, Sony's line of laser projectors is complemented by 8.
In addition, PTZ cameras that work for both small and large rooms. "At Sony we seek to contribute to better learning and teaching experiences," said Claudius Bezerra.
The meeting in Las Vegas also served as a stage for Sony to present two awards to its partners in the education sector in Latam:
- Tecnológico de Monterrey, Sony Education Award 2018 for the implementation of the 4K HDR broadcast studio. Received by Andrés Escobedo.
- University of Lima, Outstanding Recognition Award, received by Manuel Solari.
As part of the work that Sony is doing in Latin America in the educational segment, the company announced that on September 6 and 7 the second version of the Education Summit will take place, which will be held at the Javeriana University of Bogotá. The first Summit was held in September 2017 in Lima, Peru.
