Panasonic simplifies dome images with new lens

Mexico. Panasonic announced the availability in Mexico of an innovative fisheye lens for video projectors that facilitates the deployment of 4K Ultra HD images on circular surfaces and domes. It is the model ET-D3LEF70, compatible with different Panasonic projectors of 3-Chips DLP of high resolution and great luminosity.

Due to its design and functions, this lens makes it possible to project evenly on screens and concave surfaces to create spectacular images by using only one or two lenses and their respective projectors, instead of six or eight devices.

With a wide viewing angle of 91.5 degrees, the lens is capable of displaying large images with excellent image quality, and covering large spaces in which it was previously necessary to install several projectors, at least six, with conventional lens. The ET-D3LEF70 supports images in WQXGA resolution, 4K Ultra HD or higher, with a brightness of up to 30,000 lumens.

On the other hand, the movement of the lens (vertical +/- 37º and horizontal +/-17º) and its focus function allow you to adjust the shot easily, until you get the desired sharpness, regardless of the size of the enclosure or the distance between the lens and the surface of the screen.

Roles and applications
Designed for planetariums, video domes, museums, amusement park attractions and even promotional activations or BTLs, the ET-D3LEF70 – combined with a compatible 4K projector – instantly transforms any space and transports viewers to a new reality through a unique sense of presence and ubiquity.

Portable exhibits, art installations and other temporary applications can integrate a lens as the differentiating element that brings immersion to the projection. In addition, in driving or flight simulators and Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality experiences, participants will not require special glasses. This is thanks to the ease of the ET-D3LEF70 to project images with dynamic realism through the entire circumference of the screen.

The new ET-D3LEF70 lens is available through Panasonic's authorized distributors in Mexico and also through the company's audiovisual equipment rental service.
