Universidad Alas Peruanas acquired Casio projectors

Peru. The current market trend is committed to sustainability, conceived as the satisfaction of needs without compromising the capacity of future generations, guaranteeing the balance between economic growth, environmental care and social welfare.

This is the understanding of the Universidad Alas Peruanas, which recently acquired a batch of Casio brand projectors model XJ-V1, which provide energy efficiency and profitability.

According to Iván Canales, manager of Multimedia Projects, The official distribution company of Casio in Peru, there is an increasing awareness on the part of companies to adapt their standards for the benefit of their audiences of interest, in this case, the educational community of the Universidad Alas Peruanas.

In that sense, he recalled that, "for the licensing of universities, SUNEDU requires that the University contain policies, plans and actions for the protection of the environment. CASIO projectors contribute to this protection of the environment," he said.

Casio XJ-V1 Projectors
Manufactured entirely in Japan, Casio XJ-V1 projectors stand out for their 2,700 lumens of luminous flux, energy saving and efficient cost, as well as for their direct on and off. Such equipment will serve as educational support, and its use will be intended for the classrooms and laboratories of the educational community of the Alas Peruanas University.

Among its main features are energy savings, being that they consume 70% less electricity than conventional projectors. Likewise, they represent zero consumables, not using lamps or filters.

Also, it constitutes a saving in maintenance, since, by not generating high temperature like a projector with a lamp, Casio projectors do not need to be entered into a workshop for disassembly for preventive maintenance, as lamp projectors do.

To all this, Casio projectors contribute to the environment, because by not containing a mercury lamp, they consume a smaller amount of electrical energy.

The acquisition of Casio brand projectors was completed between Iván Canales, manager of Casio's distribution company in Peru, Proyectos Multimedia and Maribel Ramírez, from the Universidad Alas Peruanas.

For Canales Suárez, "being that the average use of projectors in the university is about 8 to 10 hours per day and that the equipment that was used before, had as their main supply the mercury lamp, a constant maintenance was required, with the consequent change of lamps and filters, generating an additional expense. To that expense was added the considerable electricity consumption, of about 310 watts, which also did not contribute to the environment, "he revealed.

Taking into account these factors, Canales explained, Universidad Alas Peruanas can not only declare itself as a standard-bearer of sustainability, but is also saving some S/. 1,800 soles per year for each unit. "If we take into account that 1,500 Casio projectors were acquired, we would be talking about a saving for the university of S/. 2, 700, 000 a year.
