Latin America. The year 2017 was a great cycle for Leyard. In addition to all the major projects installed in the period, the brand had its international recognition consolidated in the conquest of some of the main awards of the digital visualization sector around the world.
In total, this year alone, the company was awarded ten times by the authorities of the segment. In April, Leyard received three of the broadcast industry's most prestigious awards during the 2017 National Association of Broadcasters Show (NAB) in Las Vegas.
On the occasion, NewBay Media awarded the Multi Touch Interactive LED video conferencing during the Best of Show Awards, presented by TV Technology, Video Edge and Digital Video. This video wall from Leyard was recognized for being the first led touch solution without borders.
In June, seven more awards were added to Leyard's collection. It was produced during InfoComm 2017, which brought together suppliers from across the audiovisual industry in Orlando.
Once again the MultiTouch Interactive LED video wall brought home four Best of Show Awards awarded by NewBay Media, in addition to two Best awards (best electronic systems technology), awarded by Commercial Integrator.
Leyard's DirectLight LED video wall system was awarded as the most innovative video display by System Contractor News. "It is an honor to see that the brand is recognized for its innovations in LED technology. The market feedback on our equipment was incredible this year," says the CEO of Leyard Brazil and Latin America, Orlando Custodio.
Global leadership
In addition to the ten awards, in 2017 the Leyard Group conquered for the first time the number one market share position in the LED video display sector, with US$3.5 billion generated in business in that segment.
The analysis comprised the Global LED Display Market Report released by Futuresource Consulting. The document showed that the Leyard Group obtained 14% of that market share, adding up the performance of all its brands and companies.
In 2016, Leyard had already been considered a market leader in the LED display segment, after years of leadership in categories such as narrol pixel pitch (NPP) and fine pitch, in which the company was a pioneer. This leadership grew and the group also became a leader in the largest market for LED video screens, exceeding all expectations.
"In 2014, it was estimated that the Leyard Group would be in the fourth position, with a market share of 5%, but already in 2015 we rose to the second position, with a market share of 11%. That is, Leyard is the fastest growing brand in the category, jumping more than 30% in 2016," Custodio said.
He says the organization has worked tirelessly to drive innovation in the category, bring LED to more applications, and expand its ability to support customers throughout Latin America.
