Mexico. The Lighting Designer Paulina Villalobos will flash with her presence at the seventh edition of ELA Expo Lighting America 2017, to give on Thursday, March 2, a workshop at the Lightroom LAB, entitled "Night skies and heritage", as well as the keynote lecture "Noche Zero, bring me the night", a global initiative to improve the lighting of cities and at the same time preserve the darkness of the skies and their beauty.
In this presentation, Villalobos will explain how pollution greatly affects our metropolises, as well as the urgent need to change the lighting criteria that exist in urban settlements.
"Noche Zero has been characterized by involving urban lighting designs, considerations of overlighting in human health, energy efficiency by urban expenditure on lighting and protection of the skies for heritage and science," said the designer.
The initiative has received recognition in the United States and Denmark, and is also part of the official events of UNESCO's International Year of Light (IYL), whose main objective is to disseminate and promote the importance of lighting design and the preservation of night skies.
The founder of the DIAV studio, member of the International Engineering Society of North America, part of the Professional Lighting Design Association and Foreign Advisor for the Chinese Association of Lighting Designers, has stood out for her participation in the development of architectural lighting projects, luminaire design and light installations in spaces such as the Titanium Building, the Chilean Pavilion for Expo Shanghai 2010, the National Museum of Natural History of Chile, among others, which have been awarded in France, Spain, China, the United States and Singapore.
Her experience, avant-garde and professionalism make Paulina Villalobos a benchmark in the industry and, therefore, this time she will be in Mexico to present at ELA Expo Lighting America 2017, an event that will take place at Centro Citibanamex, Mexico City from February 28 to March 2 from 12:00 to 20:00 hrs.
